A performance about the use of the interval throughout the history of Man and the history of theatre (pause.) A project of appropriation of unfinished personal experiences that resonate like a constant impasse (pause). A play taken by assault by many intervals inhabited by a man, Celestino Pinto, who puts himself in scene with a concrete goal: to fill the time between the acts of a show, testing, in this way, the possibility of postponing a possible end (pausalonga). In Peça para Intervalos, the fifth collaboration for theatre between Rui de Almeida Paiva and Bruno Humberto, we investigate the mortar of the illusory nature of time itself in theatre, of the entertaining from the oral and perfomatic tradition, and the implications, in each human being, of the existence of a last and everlasting interval that, with a strong power of suction, sucks up everything that surrounds it, becoming itself the central piece (pausalonga).
