THE KIDNAPPING
2018
performer
The bus driver places the first gear and tries the motor. An incoherent groan shakes the machine and its passengers. Slowly, someone starts to understand the state of humankind.
The Kidnapping is a site specific theatre piece, moving from several urban and natural landscapes. A performance where, from the first minute, the audience is complicit of the setting up of a crime, executed by a group that moves forward prisoner of little secrets. The victim, the outcome, and consequences of the crime are unknown, and what was thought to be a very well articulated plan, to make justice against “the right man”, can become a plot where individual’s solidarity and anger are always at stake/ game.
